CEREC fabrication process
We use the CEREC system to make crowns in our in-house laboratory:
- Digital scan of the prepared tooth (no uncomfortable moulds).
- CAD design of the crown on the computer.
- Milling in high-strength ceramic (lithium disilicate or zirconia).
- Customisation of the colour with stains and glazes.
- Final cementation at the same visit or the next.
Crown care
With the right care, a dental crown lasts between 10 and 20 years:
- Correct brushing at the crown-gum margin.
- Use of dental floss around the crown.
